I have a crafty friend that will come over once in awhile and help out with some odds and ends here and there. in return i give her sewing lessons, finish projects, or make shirts for her. It's great to have a little extra help!
I am trying to get orders done quickly and shipped off.
There is going to be a comment sale this weekend. starting noon on Saturday and going through noon on Sunday. Everything will be 25% off. or 25% off your total order, its the same thing. That way I don't have to go through each picture and change the prices. that takes a looooong time.
so go check out my fanpage at

Welcome Monday Morning
Well as you may not know, I spend monday morning sitting in my car. My DS1 has ABA therapy 30 minutes away and there is not point in coming home in the time span. Just a waste of gas. So I sit in my car and do whatever or get my walmart and joanns trips out of the way for the week.
Well today I cleaned up all the shirts I embroidered on Saturday. And cut out lots of little circles for Yoyo Animals. My mom inspired me after seeing one at the sewing center in FWB. She had a clown as a child. So I decided to make a couple for the June event. I found kits at walmart with circles already printed up in many different prints combined together. So I picked up a pink set and a blue set. Figure I'll make a cat and a dog. Still working on pricing, depends on how long it takes me to make one.

Now I am going to make up some embroidery designs for an order, and hopefully get a few stitched out today. and put ruffles on a onesies butt. Need to learn how to do that too!
I got lots of things ordered for the June event for my on the spot bottle cap items. Thinking of ordering a childs body form to display an outfit or a shirt. And it will make taking pictures of pillowcase dresses and shirts so much nicer! We'll see what I decide to do :)

And I got one of the three autism purses almost done. Still have red and orange to make
Tomorrow I have to get my designs loaded for the day, take my hubby to pick up his car, then go to DS1's Easter party at school at 930. Then I have to hit do some errands including the bank and post office. And meet up with a fellow soccer mom to get her sons shirt.
I have 2 shirts to embroider front and back and then put the names on the boys' team mates shirts. And I want to finish the other two Autism purses and other odds and ends I have laying around. Which is A LOT. I need to just say no! And back away from the fabric!!!!
on other news i got lots of bottle cap images and supplies in. At the show in June I want to do custom bottle cap necklaces, keychains, magnets and flowers on the spot. All I need is my trusty glue gun!!! I ordered some chains on Ebay last night. All I need is gift bags to order now. Gonna look all professional at this show! So spiffy! and exciting!

A customer is supposed to drop off a couple shirts for me to do and i hand over her comment sale items from a few weeks ago.

blocks blocks and more blocks
I got 10 little boy jingle blocks done in an hour last night. Got 11 more to do, then i'll start the girls. There will be A LOT of those.
Also working on baby door hangers some more, got a bunch stitched out and getting more colors of Minkee today to stitch out more.
Did my errand run to Wal Mart last night and got most of the shirts i need to stitch out for the week, and some more stuffing for the blocks and door hangers.
Getting some help on my website tonight, hopefully get it figured out so i can get it up and running by May 1st.
Thats about all i have today. My poor DS1 went to school in tears because i didnt have time to grab his "book" which is a DVD phamplet. The bus pulled up unexpectedly and we had to hurry and he decided he wanted to take it to school with him. I just want to drive the book down to his school. I feel so bad for him. I hope he gets over it and is ok. I am sure he will.

After my usually busy Monday mornings, i am home and working on Baby pillows. These cute little pillows hang from babys door or the front door and remind people to keep their volume down. :)
Also working on my jingle blocks still got all the boys squares matched up and gonna get them sewn together and out of the way.

Hi Hello and Welcome!
I have been told I need to start blogging! So we will see if I can keep this up!
I currently have a facebook fanpage that you can follow at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Peppermint-Twist-Creations/109260111738
I started sewing cloth diapers when DS1 was 7 months old in 2007 and we were expecting DS2. I made those exclusively for my boys for a full year, then at the many suggestions of friends and family started selling them in 2008. I exclusively sold cloth diapers for a full year

After a year I was ready to expand! And that i have for the last 2 years! I will try most anything except adult clothes. Way too complicated for my taste!
I am currently working on my website PeppermintTwistCreations.com which hopefully will launch May 1st. And getting ready for a vendor show the end of June as well as keeping all my customers happy with lots and lots of customs! As soon as I think I am caught up I get more orders! Which is great! I love it!
I lead a very busy life these days, especially during the school year. My boys have a lot going on for only being 3 and 4.
I just invested in Husqvarna 5D Professional software to go with my Viking Designer 1 USB sewing/embroidery machine, I was so busy I had to purchase a second machine so I could Sew and Embroider at the same time.
My Embroidery machine IS my sewing machine, so I could only do one or the other not both at the same time. The second machine a Viking Quilt Designer was a great investment. I am able to get out more orders faster by multi tasking.
I am going through the lessons for the new software learning how to Digitize. I am not fully able to Digitize any image yet but hopefully i will learn how to do that soon!
my Designer 1 hard at work on a onesie
My messy work area, I am able to answer questions easily anytime I am working.
I will work on blogs as I go along, and try to do a different one for each type of item I make as well as what I am doing that day. We'll see if I can keep this going! Thank you all for following me in my adventure!
